O God of love, I thank You for this good time of prayer. You hear prayers. Not only that, You are the Lord of lords who gives counsel in answer to our prayers as to what we should do. I praise and thank You for that. Lord, in my day-to-day life, I want to do what pleases You. First, I want to have thoughts which please You. In my thoughts, thoughts of my youthful sins of the past appear disturbing my life. These thoughts of my past sins dominate in my mind and make me worried. They accuse me of being a wicked sinner. The words of the devil make me despondent as they keep saying that I cannot go to heaven. This makes me despair. O Jesus Christ, have mercy on me. Your word says: “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth” (Isaiah 43:18-19). Let my thoughts be thus made anew. Let my sight also be pleasing to You; let me see what pleases You. I want to please You in what I see. Preserve me from abhorrible sights that induce lustful thoughts and defile me, from now on. Let my words be those that thank and praise You for what You have done to me. Guard my mouth from vain words and scoffing. Preserve me from people who speak ill of others and those who speak falsehood about others. Let me associate with people who glorify You. Make me a tool to declare Your mighty deeds by meditating on Your word daily. O Lord, unite the hearts of all in my family to serve You eternally. Knowing that You would do that, I praise and thank You. Hear my prayer. In the name of Jesus Christ, O Father. Amen.
