A PRAYER FOR PEACEFUL LIFE

O God of love, I thank You for this time of prayer.  Because of Your mercy and grace, You made us live with peace all these days. I should not lose this peace, even a bit. You are the Prince of Peace and only through You, I can live with peace and joy. You have said: “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God” (Matt. 5:9). Help me to make peace. As I lose peace, there arises worries and lack of fullness. Have mercy on me. Teach me to be contented and live with peace in all situations. Help me have peace in my words and feelings and deeds. You have assured us:  “The work of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever.  My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places” (Isaiah 32:17-18). Let me be surrounded by peace in the place of my dwelling. When I think of my children, I sometimes lose my peace. Let them be taught by You and let peace abound through them. Psalm 147:14 says, “He makes peace in your borders, and fills you with the finest wheat.” Let me have peace within my boundary. Make a covenant of peace with me, and cause me to live peacefully and dwell safely (Ez. 34:25). Let this covenant stand in the times to come. Let me also come under it. You alone can restore peace in my boundary. I trust only in You. Isaiah 26:3 says, “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.” Give me this peace. Make me meek to inherit the earth, and to delight myself in the abundance of peace. I praise You with the belief that You would do that. In the name of Jesus Christ, O Father. Amen.
