Loving greetings to you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!

At Trichy we had regular monthly prayer meetings with a family. The head of the house was a government official. The mother was a teacher. They had only one son. As he completed twelfth standard, they wanted that he should do Secondary Grade Teacher Training. Once after the cottage meeting, I asked them what he was going to study next. They said about their intention to send him to do Teacher Training Course. I asked them why they would not send him to do engineering or a course in a college. They said that it would cost much and that he would not study well. They also said that he had not scored much in 12th exam. I counselled them that they had only one son and so they should put him in an engineering college. So he was put in an engineering college. At the end of the fourth year, he had arrears in 26 subjects. The parents were upset. The mother was worried that he had wasted four years and spent a lot of money. One day I called him and asked him to seek the Lord and assured him that the Lord would not let him down. I asked him to make use of the time and spend time in meditating on the word of God with interest. I also prayed for him. He also realized his mistake in wasting time those days and committed to clear the arears. All the lecturers of the college were watching with wonder what he was going to do. They made fun of him saying that he was going to give a donation to the institution in the payment of examination fees. But as he sought the Lord truly, He made him see a miracle happen. What a wonder! He cleared 23 papers in one sitting. Everyone was astonished. After that he cleared the other 3 papers. He realized that with God everything is possible. In a few months he got a good employment. He committed to live and work for the Lord.

Dear beloved in Christ, last year you may have encountered defeats, peaceless situations in the family, in the job or business, incurred loss and gone through financial struggles and may have been grappling with diseases and unpleasant situations. Dear Brother/ Sister, today commit to seek the Lord and decide to have good relationship with the Lord this year. With devotion try to act on your decision. All the past defeats and bitterness will vanish and you would succeed in life.
