O God of love, I thank You for this time of prayer. I thank and praise You for having girded me with strength and led us thus far. These days my sight keeps dwindling. I am not able to see anything clearly. At times I have difficulty in locating the verses of the Bible and err. The eye-sight is getting dimmed and blurred. O Lord, have mercy on me. I experience trouble in locating the ditches and stones on the way, leading to stumbling. I have doubts whether I have cataract formation in my eyes. I feel depressed. As I have sight problem, I meet with accidents while driving. O Lord, be merciful to me. O Jesus Christ who made the born-blind person to see show mercy to me. You opened the eyes of the blind man seated on the roadside begging when he cried to You as the Son of David to have mercy on him. Do have mercy on me. I have fear that I might become one like Isaac in his old age. As I see people in old age affected by diabetes and by loss of sight, I do entertain fear that I also might become one like them. You who formed me in the womb, help me to have eye-sight as in my youth by forgiving me my sins, iniquities and my trespasses. O Jesus Christ, I praise You with the belief that You would hear my prayer and restore my sight. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray, O good Father. Amen.
